Who we are and how to contact us
This website, asakasa.org, is operated by Asakasa Technologies SRL (“Asakasa”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Bucharest, Romania.
- Registered office: Șoseaua Giurgiului 121A, Sector 4, Bucharest, Romania
- Sole registration code (CUI): 54809478
- Trade Register number (Reg. Com.): J2026036098000
Asakasa Technologies SRL is the data controller responsible for the limited personal data described in this notice.
For any question about this notice, about your personal data, or to exercise your rights, contact us at ops [at] asakasa.org (replace [at] with @).
What this notice covers
This notice explains, in plain terms, what data this website does and does not collect, why, on what legal basis, who processes it, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Romanian data-protection law.
asakasa.org is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, no comment system, and no online forms that submit data to us. By design, it collects as little data as possible.
What data we do — and do not — collect
We want to be explicit about this. Through the normal operation of this website, we do not:
- set any cookies of our own;
- run any web analytics (no Google Analytics, no equivalent);
- use any advertising, marketing, or tracking technologies;
- build profiles of visitors or carry out any profiling;
- load third-party fonts, scripts, or tracking pixels from external content-delivery networks — our fonts are served from our own site;
- ask you to submit personal data through any web form.
The only personal data involved in visiting this site are:
- Technical server logs generated automatically by our hosting provider (described below); and
- Any information you choose to send us if you decide to email us (described under “Contacting us by email”).
We do not collect special categories of personal data (such as data about health, ethnicity, or political opinions), and we do not knowingly collect data about children.
Theme preference stored on your device
This site lets you switch between a light and dark visual theme. When you make that choice, your browser stores a single value — a key named theme set to “light” or “dark” — in your browser’s localStorage, on your own device.
This value:
- stays on your device and is read only by your own browser to remember your display preference;
- is not a cookie, is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and contains no identifier and no personal data;
- can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for asakasa.org.
Because this storage is strictly functional — it does nothing but remember a display setting you actively chose — it falls within the exemption for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a feature you requested. For that reason, no cookie or consent banner is required, and we do not show one.
Server logs and our hosting provider
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually all web hosting, the infrastructure that serves the site automatically records standard technical request data so the site can function and be kept secure. This typically includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or resource requested, the HTTP status, your browser’s user-agent string, and similar request metadata.
This processing happens at the infrastructure level for the purposes of delivering the website, maintaining its availability and performance, and protecting it against abuse, attacks, and fraud.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — namely operating a secure, available website and protecting it and its visitors from malicious activity. We have considered your interests and rights and consider this minimal, expected processing not to override them.
Cloudflare as processor: Cloudflare, Inc. acts as our hosting and security service provider and processes this technical data on our behalf as a data processor, under terms that include data-protection obligations.
International transfers: Cloudflare is a US-headquartered provider operating a global network, so this technical data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented by Cloudflare’s technical and organisational measures. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards using the contact details above.
Contacting us by email
The only way to contact us through this site is by email — the contact links open a draft message to us in your own email program. There is no web form, and nothing is sent to us unless you choose to send the email yourself.
If you email us, we receive whatever you put in that message — typically your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your enquiry.
- Purpose: to read, respond to, and manage your enquiry.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in responding to people who contact us; or, where your enquiry relates to a possible contract or engagement, the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We use your email address only to reply to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share or sell it.
No cookies, no tracking, no automated decisions
To state it plainly:
- We set no cookies of our own.
- We carry out no tracking, no advertising, and no profiling.
- We make no automated decisions about you, including no automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
Links to other websites
This site contains links to other websites, including our related products at px.asakasa.org and space.asakasa.org, and to public data sources such as SEC EDGAR, FINRA, FRED, Cboe, and NASDAQ.
This notice applies only to asakasa.org. Once you follow a link to another website — including our own subdomains, which may have their own separate notices — that site’s own privacy practices apply, and we are not responsible for how those sites handle your data. We encourage you to review the privacy notice of any site you visit.
How long we keep data
Server logs: technical request logs are retained by our hosting provider only for as long as needed for security, operational, and abuse-prevention purposes, and are then deleted or aggregated in the ordinary course of that provider’s operations.
Email correspondence: we keep emails you send us only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and to meet any legal or record-keeping obligation, after which we delete them.
Theme preference: the theme value lives in your own browser until you clear it; we never receive or store it.
Your rights under the GDPR
Where we hold personal data about you, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access — to be told whether we hold data about you and to receive a copy of it;
- Rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- Erasure — to have your data deleted in certain circumstances (the “right to be forgotten”);
- Restriction — to have our processing of your data restricted in certain circumstances;
- Objection — to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation;
- Data portability — to receive certain data you have provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, where that right applies.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at ops [at] asakasa.org. We will respond within the timeframe required by the GDPR (normally one month). Exercising these rights is free of charge in ordinary cases. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. In practice, because we do not run accounts, analytics, or trackers, the personal data we hold is limited to email correspondence you have sent us and infrastructure-level server logs.
Your right to complain
If you believe we have handled your personal data unlawfully, we would prefer that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
In Romania, the competent authority is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal — ANSPDCP): www.anspdcp.ro.
You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence or place of work.
Children
This website is intended for a professional and adult audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date shown with this notice. If we ever introduce a practice that materially changes how we handle personal data — for example, adding analytics or a form — we will update this notice before or at the time that change takes effect.
